We are proud to be able to announce that Stage Five Films has opened its European office in Lisbon, Portugal and are now ready to extend our world-class offering to include co-production and production services within the Europe Union.

Portugal continues to lure productions to the Iberian Peninsula. The country is a bustling filming location with diverse, easily accessible locations, 300 days of sunshine, an array of highly skilled crew, and robust production support systems from private to government level.

Portugal has co-production and bilateral agreements with more than 60 countries, producing content for more than 250 million Portuguese speakers worldwide.

The Portugal Film Commission is actively involved in further developing the industry. The government offers a tax rebate of 25% on eligible expenditure and up to 30% if reaching the cultural quota. Approximately 115 film projects have been approved for a cash rebate since 2018.

Our Producers Dylan Voogt and Marcelle du Toit are currently in Portugal meeting with various stakeholders, producing partners, filmmakers, and suppliers.
