“THE DREAMER – BECOMING KAREN BLIXEN” VIAPLAY PREMIERE

Set in the 1930s and telling the story of how Blixen became the icon we know today, it is the story of a woman who, despite numerous defeats, regained faith in her own destiny. A story about how you can never dream too big and that it is never too late to pursue your dreams. But, all choices come with a price, a price which Blixen must realize in the pursuit of freedom and artistic recognition.

The series was created by Dunja Gry Jensen, directed by Jeanette Nordahl and based on an idea by Connie Nielsen and Karoline Leth. Starring Connie Nielsen as the enigmatic Karen Blixen, the series hosts a stellar ensemble cast including Emmy winning Lars Mikkelsen, Hanne Uldal, Joachim Fjelstrup, Lene Maria Christensen, Solbjørg Højfeldt, Lochlann Ó Mearáin and Johannes Kuhnke.

It is an honour to once again be working with acclaimed producer, Karoline Leth and the incredibly talented team at Zentropa Productions. The series is produced as a Viaplay Original by Zentropa Productions in collaboration with Belga and Stage Five Films.
